I've been trying to find a forum that I was told by an eBay member that was posting my Frankie B pics and claiming they were fakes!! I am an authorized retailer and I've worked my butt off trying to get authentic jeans and now I'm concerned about this member what am I supposed to do with a member like this. This what her first email said the f is not properly centered and is way to big on these jeans. that is the first 2 signs of a fake pair of frankie b jeans. can i see a picture of the inside tags the ones on the side pocket.

here is the link to my auction Frankie B Triple F Slim B/C in Riviera Sz 2 - eBay (item 320281249857 end time Aug-07-08 07:30:24 PDT)
She claims one of the forums like this has been using the pic of this auction as fakes!
how do I handle someone like this? Is there something else I should be doing to provide proof of authenticity? I mean I can't post my invoices but would be glad to show them for buyers peace of mind. Any help? Please!!

Hi, I guess a sure way of proving authenticy may also be to include photos of the tags, i cant authenticate Frankie Bs all that well but from what i can see they look good to me, but you can double check that if you post in the other brands sections, when people have said they are real you could also include in your listings you are a member of honestforum and only sell authentic items. Im not sure what else you can do but ignore the person saying these things If you need any help with anything else just feel free to contact me

You can post the pictures of the jeans in the other brands section of this forum and get some people to authenticate them for you. Then you can link the buyer to the thread to show her that they were authenticated as real.

I'm not sure if you mean she is saying these are being used as an example of fakes or if she posted the pictures on a forum to get them authenticated and people said they are fake. Either way I would ask her for a link to where the pictures of your auction is being called fake so you can see for yourself.

It doesn't look like the person actually bought the item from the auction. Are they just asking you to verify authenticity before they buy it? If so best way is to give them the pictures they are requesting and send them a link to the thread you make on here to have people verify they are real.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the responses. She wasn't asking to buy any of them just claiming they looked fake and that a forum was using my pics as an example for fakes! I've yet to find it and she hasn't provided me with anything as proof even after I asked her. She has over 6000 feedbacks on eBay so I was shocked to an email like that from her and just wasn't sure how to handle it.

hmm, thats interesting, if she is going to make a claim like that she should be able to provide you with a link to where these so called pics are being used to show fakes. If she believes this to be true than she should have no problem showing you.

Likewise since you are all about selling authentic goods, I would go out of your way to prove that they are real, go overboard with your pictures, get some of the experts with Frankies to authenticate in the brands section and let that be the end of it.

I find it very strange that she would approach you like that...

I also found it strange especially since she never gave me a link even after I asked for it several times!

I agree 100%, if you're going to make a claim like that, be prepared to back it up right?
Any update on the situation? Have you heard back from this person?

Not a word in a few days and she was insisting she was right. One good thing I realized when I was looking over the Frankie B site I typed in my zip code and my store is listed so that helps if a buyer actually buys from me and then complains I have that as back along with my invoices but this woman didn't even buy from me and I know that I'm a lousy photog but I think you'd be able to tell if they fake or not. I don't carry any older models just recent issues.

Seems you have a good plan as defense, I wouldnt worry about it unless she decides for whatever reason to press further. Good luck!
