Okay ...well its old news that fakes have been exchanged into retail stores while the reals get exchanged out... but today I came across my first fake in a retail store: Nordstrom Rack.

There weren't but like 3 sevens in the whole store...but the sales associate handed them to me bc I had asked her if she had seen any.... well I immed. put them in my cart w/out even looking at them. ...I got into the dressing room (bc they happened to be my size!) and was appalled at the way the "for all mankind" red label on the pocket looked. It was huge!! I knew it didn't look right... so then I started looking over the entire jean. The quality (feel) was so bad, they looked as if they'd been hemmed (or they were just really really short), the inside pocket looked awful...but MOST OF ALL, the style and cut numbers were STITCHED! 701377. It was all so awful....

I didn't know whether I should say something to a SA but decided to. I knew it wouldn't do much but I thought Id just let them know...bc I sure as HELL wouldn't pay $70 for a pair of fakes (thats what the price was) and it kind of made me wonder if thats why they were at NR in the first place... So I found a woman and said "look, this is going to sound weird, but these are fakes" ...I showed her the dif. b/w the real and fakes ones and her response was this "Oh okay...well yeah I think this probably happens a lot with a lot of stuff and there's really no way to control it so its going to continue happening...Ill bring it to my managers attention but my guess is that its going to end up back on the floor... you cant really tell when they're on, can you (unless compared to an authentic pair side-by-side)?!" ...I said Im sorry but I wouldn't pay $10 for those...and gave them to her.

Argggh.. that sucks. I just know some person is gonna get ripped off buying those. You did the right thing by trying to bring their attention to it tho! What style was it that was fake?

Well they had on the tag "MILWAUKEE" --like the Nordy's tag and the inside said bootcut. ...But on Bianca's site she has that common fake for Broadway Flare. Either way, it didn't resemble Milwaukee,Broadway,NYD and wasn't cut like Bootcut OR Flare. They SUCKED!!

The one I was at said they didn't have too many sevens today.

I saw lots of Chip and Pepper, AG, Miss Sixty, Yanuk, a few Sevens, one pair of TR.

But yeah if you go early theres more stuff--but I dont know how they were gone by 8 am when they don't open til 9?

I meant the wax hang tag. the NR at Shady Grove have alot of TR, Miss Sixty, Yanuk, Chip & pepper, AG, little Sevens, Frankie B, and Juicy Coutoure.

You should stop by the Filene's Basement in Chevy Chase and Mid-Pike plaza, they have alot of Sevens. I saw the new and old Dojo in seville, Miller, Lots of new and old A pockets, boy cuts, seville and bkk bootcuts, and some others I can't reconize. They also had the Seven's with the A logo

Oh, our store here opened at 7:50am, although the official time should be 8am. So that means the jeans were all gone in 10 mins.

Thats horrible that someone will get tricked into buying a pair of fake jeans for $70 at one of the places that supposed to be trustworthy. When I went to Nordstroms in Kansas City, I was not that impressed with the salespeoples knowledge of sevens...they did not know the differences between the different colors / styles. Hmmm...if fake Sevens are so easy to return, I have a pair of Milan Flares I got there, still have the Nordstroms tag & white barcode. Do you think I could return them even though they no longer carry that style & I've washed the jeans once? I have yet to find a place with cheap sevens around here. Nordstroms had 2 pairs Rocker style on sale for $100, but not my size. There is a boutique in Lawrence, KS that had a few styles on sale for 1/2 off...I got the Flynts w/ hot pink stitching for $85 and brown cords for $65.

If you have the receipt Im sure theyll do a return, why not? If you just have the tags theyll prob. just give you store credit for the last selling price.
