Heres instructions on how to use a waistband expander:

The one I have comes with about 5 or 6 removable parts. The parts go right into each other just like how I have them set up here, you just push them together.

You probably wont need to use all the parts here. I am a size 31/32 and I only use like 2 or 3 pieces on my jeans. You just need to have the first and last piece always but the middle pieces you can use one, two or all three of them depending on the size of your jeans.

This picture shows what mine looks like before I put it together for use:

So you push all the pieces together and get out your jeans. You have to wet the waistband before you start this so make sure to do that.
In this next picture, the knob on the far right of the expander is what you use to increase and decrease the tension on the front of your jeans where the button and zipper are. You want to have the jeans unbuttoned and unzippered for best results.

You loosen up the grip to fit your jeans in and then tighten it as much as you can. Here is a close up picture of this part:

The other gray twisty thing is what you use to do the stretching. You just hold onto the end and twist the gray bar. You will see the threading on your expander start to appear. You’ll notice your jeans are now expanding.

Just expand them as much as you need and then you are finished.

This particular kit comes with a part to hang the expander on so you can get it to dry faster.

The stretch should last until the next time you wash your jeans.

Here is also a video of me setting it up and using it.

I got mine from there too and I couldn't imagine a life without that tool anymore! It's so great for ladies who have a bigger tummy in comparison to the rest of the body (which is exactly my problem).

Great instructions Kelly! Very user friendly and professional!!

At first I thought it didn't work, but I just tried the jeans on, and they did stretch. It's a miracle!!!!

This seems like a good idea. For those of you who have one, does it work really well? Do the jeans eventually stay permantenly stretched out so that you don't have to use the expander anymore?

they don't stretch permanently, it's only until you wash them, and then you have to stretch them out, again.
forget shopping ban, it's all about the shopping binge!

As long as your not trying to stretch jeans that are two whole sizes too small or anything, I think you are safe. You can't work miracles with it.

I think it's great to have since sometimes you get jeans in your regular sz that happen to run small. Not big enough to size up but they may be a little uncomfortable in the waist. That's when you use this.
Totally banned from jeans! (except maybe sz 25 7FAM Manchester Crystal Sigs...)

Well, I haven't had a chance to purchase the waistband extender, but meanwhile, this method has proved pretty well. It looks silly, but it works! Also, I usually need more of the hips and rear extended than the waist, so I've been sticking anything from tupperwear, round plastic bowls and etc. in the booty part. Anyway, I just wanted to share.

This is so funny to me because I've done the same books and mug thing, except I've been stretching the thighs or the butt, not the waist. My problem is always that I have 2" of extra fabric at the waist and so when I size down, the waist is perfect but the butt/thighs areas are not roomy enough!
Selling in the HM!!!: Diesel, Uggs, Steve Madden, etc. in jeans sizes 25-27 and shoes size 7.5
