Hi everyone!

My name is Avani, I'm 19 years old and I live in Toronto, Canada. (Okay, well, a suburb of Toronto). I'm currently a full time student, in my 3rd year of university majoring in Retail Management, and I work part time at a major Canadian department store. Once I graduate I'd like to get a job in buying or marketing, or perhaps get an MBA (if I can afford it lol). Ideally, I'd like to own my own clothing boutique here in Toronto some time down the road.

I'd say my two biggest interests would be fashion and photography. (It's why I'd love to get into marketing for a fashion company ). I'm into art, music, and books too. Little bit of everything

I LOVE R&R as most of you know; it takes up at least half of my denim collection and 3/4's of my income (luckily I have no expenses!). I am so happy to have the opportunity to be the mod of this section. I know my R&R, but I don't - and will not pretend to - know EVERYTHING about it, so if we can all help each other out we can make R&R the best section of HF



(Me in Beverly Hills....rockin' Mick's in Dark Blur here. Yes my friend's arm is on my head lol).

I asked my sister if she knew which schools in Toronto have a Retail Management prog and Ryerson was the first school that came to her mind!

Wow! 19 and in your 3rd year of college? Is that the norm, or are you ahead? In the states, you'd be in your 1st or just beginnng your 2nd year.

Everyone asks me that But no, I'm not ahead. Everyone in 3rd year of university here (if they started straight out of highschool) was born in 1986, just like me. It's just that my birthday's in December so I haven't turned 20 yet.

Hi Avani (now I know your name and can stop calling you AC )! I remember when I first got into R&R, you were always there to help me with the auth checks and putting up with me pestering you till I got the hang of it more or less.... I have to say, you were quite a big part of my R&R education and I appreciate it. Thanks to you R&R is now richer ! And I love it. I don't think a better mod could have been picked, congratulations!

On another note, I'm from BC but was planning to go to Ryerson as well - for graphic arts but decided that Science was more for me and stayed here for schooling.
