I would take some pictures of my Lacoste polo, but I can't figure out how to turn the flash off.

Anyway, it doesn't have a "made in" tag, only the one with the crocodile which says the size (4 in my case). It has the Devanlay tag and it does not have the two stars next to the name. I phoned and asked where its made, and the lady at the store thinks its made in Morroco.

I have a light purple polo shirt and it has dark brown buttons with a bit of white colouring on the back. When you feel it the material feels really soft (even softer than ralph lauren) and the buttons have a nice smooth feel to them, kinda like marble.

Thanks for the help on the lacoste polos. I wonder if they are the same with ralph lauren real and fakes.

Does anyone know where you can purchase REAL lacoste and RL polo shirts for cheap?

Ralph Lauren is just as prominent on ebay as Lacoste. I think your chances of buying a brand new one on ebay of either is about 1%.

What do you guys think of these Lacoste polos. Found them on Craig's List. They look real to me. The tag looks real and the Gator appears to be in the right place.

The Model Code is: L1212 51 001 T6

That corresponds exactly to a previous post. I can't see anyting wrong with these. Thoughts....

$35, says its a Summer Blowout Sale. The seller lives in my area so I can inspect them before I buy. The code on the tag is correct, but does that guarantee its authentic??

I'd say no because that can be faked too. The fake Lacoste I have, the tag is similar to the ones listed. I've never seen the polos that cheap anywhere, which makes me think they are fake. Most stores won't even put the polos on sale since they are so popular.

these HAVE TO be real right?

i think these are worse than the AWEFUL ralph lauren chinos with the navy blue embroidered dog all over them.

of course those chinos were authentic, which makes me question someones judgement within RL.
atleast the lacostes are fake

I was just wondering what the lenght and height of the alligator. Mine seems to be a little smaller. I have the stretch pique, I noticed that some logos are smaller than some, but I just want to make sure.

one thing i also noticed is that on the inside in between the tag of a real polo, you will see 4 rectangles sewn on the inside. i gave away the fake one so i dont have a way to compare it, but ill see if i can post an example pic of a real one

usually on the womens stretch pique polos the gator is embroided into the shirt itself, not a sewn on decal
