Uhh, ever hear of a the doctrine of "just war" - the people who enter into war under this doctrine most certainly DO NOT enjoy people getting killed but they do support war efforts for various reasons.

People support the war for many reasons. I doubt any of them are because they want to kill people. There are also rules and guidelines that must be followed during times of war. It's not just all out kill until one man stands. I mean you could drop a bomb but once the smoke clears they'll be hell to pay. The Geneva convention has regulations in place to prevent excessive use of force as well as various strick policies regarding the human treatment of POW and innocent civilians.

Well no wonder. I am not Catholic, I never went to church, a religious school, or read the bible. So I am completely not surprised that I didn't know that the not only is there a bible, but also a step-by-step directions of how to fight a war.

lol, thank god I am not religious.

It's about respecting someone else's life and ideas as much as you respect your own.

Keep reading and note the "international policy makers" and the phrase "OR POLITICAL JUSTICE"

Quote:
"Just War theory is a doctrine of military ethics of Catholic origin[1][2] studied by moral theologians, ethicists and international policy makers which holds that a conflict can and ought to meet the criteria of philosophical, religious or political justice, provided it follows certain conditions."
Regardless of it's history, such there is a way that people can support a war and not enjoy people being killed.

It's like saying "Oh Halloween is a pagan holiday, therefore you have to be a pagan to know about/celebrate it" Just has Halloween has evolved from its pagan roots, so has the idea of a "just war"

Also, I'd like to redirect you to the good point Cez brought up regarding the Genva Conventions - I would suggest you read up on that as well.
