So i have been wondering this for a little while now..
now that i am on HF as a new member i have a place for answers to my questions.
Why is it that there are sooo many fake jeans out there being sold, but you don't see them that often in real life.
I mean yeah, i have seen some sad cases here and there live in the flesh but i feel i should see so much more around compared to whats out there online.
What are your thoughts? sightings?

i find it harder to tell if peoples jeans are fake or not when they're wearing them because: - i can't pull off their jeans to check out the tags on the inside (most of the time ;O)
- staring for more than 15 seconds is weird
- it's harder for me to identify a cut when someone is wearing them, laid out flat is much easier
i live in a small town where everybody dresses like shit. i only saw one guy wearing diesel and they looked like terrible fake x-ros

When you think about it, 15 seconds is a long time to stare at someone Well, im with mihalis because other than myself, ive never seen anyone where designer denim where i live period. Theres a few people from Milwaukee on HF and they can basically tell you the same. id say 93% of the people in the city i live in dont even know theres a clothing company called diesel.
Thats why i dont even see fakes

I started working in a mall in Calgary and I see probably about 10 pairs of premium denim a day, but out of that half or more fake. I can't believe it!! Yesterday there was a girl walking around Sportchek like she was the shit and the crowns on her ass were so fake!! I laughed at the situation

Nordstrom rack! you need to report that. I dont know to who or where but thats out of control!
I dont think it takes 15 seconds of staring to tell a fake. A quick look at the wash/distressing gives it away. I have seen some nasty diesels and a few true religion / seven.
If they only knew you can do a little research and find a great pair of gently used on eBay for sometimes less compared to the price they paid for a new pair of illeagal/fake/replica/etc jeans!

usually people who waer fake jeans try to avoid people with real shit. so they always hangout at the fake jeans parties or they simply stay at home to look for more deals on fakes.

there is so much PD in Calgary! I see tons of real denim when I'm on campus, rarely any fake (I even saw real TR woodstocks! crazy...).
When I venture out to a mall (that isn't Market Mall) I see tons of fake denim. Ugh, I've also seen TONS of it down town! Can you imagine walking into Holts with that crap? How embarassing.
I've seen signs for denim parties, and there is a farmers market that had a pair of fake crowns for sale. I imagine that's where most of it comes from.

There is a store in my town that sells fakes. So everyone at my work wears them, and they are slowly starting to spread around town. It's disgusting. Not to mention the ads for the store are at my work. I get all awkward.
