asking uncomfortable questions. so that warrants inexplicably having your mic cut and being man-handled, put to the ground, cuffed and then tazed.
and you'll have to forgive me, but i haven't seen any footage of him "storming the stage" or threatening the personal security of kerry that some have claimed.
jesus christ, people. if watching that doesn't t sicken you, you are seriously a fucking [].
he wasn't asking uncomfortable questions, he was asking irrelevant and meaningless questions. everyone there but him was just thrilled to have a goddam senator in front of them, responding to them...except him. the cops were quite nice to let him go on as long as they did - he kept shouting and trying to get back in the center of attention after they told him he was done. it's no longer freedom of speech or the right to peaceably assemble when you're causing a ruckus.
trust me; i've been arrested violently, tasered, and had an entire canister of pepper spray emptied in my eyes, nose, and mouth. i'd take the taser any day (hell, the reason they have them is because it's a much less violent form of subduing jackasses like him).
and you know what? looking back now, i fuckin' deserved it.
edit:
words of wisdom for today: you always lose the first round with the cops
There was no need to taser him. There were plenty of cops around to handle the situation. It was an abuse of power, because even though they could justify the use of the taser, saying he was out of control, it was in no way necessary. It was overkill. I agree the kid in the video should have been more cooperative, but still, you don't taser an UNARMED individual when there are 5-6 cops around.
Yes they will get away with it. He was resisting arrest. What were they supposed to do? How would you handle the situation if you were one of the cops?
Honestly he didn't deserve to be placed under arrest imo. I would have resisted arrest to.

My question was what would someone do if they were one of the cops.
Anyone who resists arrest will get the tazer when a large crowd is around. The first priority is the innocent people who they cannot let get hurt by his flailing around and acting like an idiot. If one of them had gotten hurt people would then demand to know why the cops didn’t do more to prevent it.

It still seems overly dramatic and excessive
