How do you get rid of scars or at least lighten them?

I have these scar lines by my ankles from wearing ankle boots in the winter. Now that the weather is warmer I won't be hiding my legs anymore. Has anyone tried bio-oil? I just noticed on the commercial it's for scars and stretch marks. Advice please.

How do you scar from your boots? Can you expand on that?

If you wanna be hardcore you can use retinoid (prescription strength), vitamin A, vitamin C serum, and sunscreen. Always use sunscreen. I go to makeupalley.com and I read their face boards quite a bit.. You should check it out.

I was wondering the same thing too - you can bet that if a boot so much as rubbed my ankles so that I had a red mark that they would find themselves on the way to Goodwill.

Yea it's really strange. It happens whenever I'd bend down or kneel and the boots dig into my ankles they left these dark marks. It has always happened to me with boots.

i love scars; just gives me another story to tell to get some girl in my bed.

Although I don't think it works both ways....not when it's on the ankles anyways.
