I have finally got an appointment to see a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck consultation on March 28, and I have been waiting for an appointment since October.
Before people start passing judgement and putting in their own $0.02, this is why I have resorted to plastic surgery.
About 2 years ago I was 200 pounds and wearing like size 32-33 jeans. I was very athletic and toned in junior high school but I got ACL surgery in high school and became depressed, and my weight skyrocket because I hated school and couldn't play sports.
Once I graduated, I changed my lifestyle by eating healthy meals and exercising. The weight was coming off except the skin in abdominal area kept sagging with every pound lost, instead of toning up. After 40 pounds lost, my stomach did not respond with exercise or diet and now is just sagging skin that will not tone up. I can grab about 3 fists worth of skin at least from my belly and the loose skin rubs against my jeans and I get horrible rashes, along with my belly getting caught in my zipper.
I was reluctant to plastic surgery but I have tried pilates, cardio, situps, abdominal classes and nothing has worked for that part of my body. I also got sick of people trying to help because every person told me to do more situps or spot train, which I can't do. After 1.5 years of trying, I finally decided to go to my doctor and he told me that it will not go away on its own. I have been at a steady weight for over a year except lately some birth control pills I got switched onto caused me to put on 15 pounds, but I just got switched to a different kind.
I am just excited because after I get surgery, I will no longer have belly skin getting caught in my fly zipper or rashes, my stomach won't be sagging down south and I can get my firm stomach I had 7 years ago in JR. High back.
