The doctor said once you have lipo done the fat cells are removed, BUT the ones that are there can get larger or your fat will store elsewhere in your body, for example, your arms, legs, butt

yay!!
i'm so glad to hear everything went well! just wait until everything settles and any swelling goes down, you're really going to love it even more then!
some people just don't know that even excercise isn't going to always get you the results you want. especially after having kids things change.
i say if you want to get anything done that will make YOU feel better about yourself....go for it!!

Well said barbie! I have an appointment for a tummy tuck consultation http://www.honestforum.com/health-be...o-excited.html
because I lost a ton of weight and no amount of exercise or dieting would change how my stomach went, and even my family doctor told me the elasticity in my stomach is shot.

i got a tummy tuck/breasts done again in nov 06 and i would do it alllll over again. after 2 c-sections my stomach was not going to go back to the way it was before with just diet and excercise.
i know another mom from my gym that had a ROCKIN' hard body and was a tiny size 2.
but she had a REALLY bad stomach from 2 kids. her exact words were it looked like elephant skin! really wrinkley and really bad. she also had a hernia that made part of her stomach stick out. that girl excercised a TON and it was not going to fix all that.
she had a tummy tuck and her breasts done and she was so happy. her confidence went way up too.
so again, for people who want anything done to make them feel better, go for it!
for those who say oh i would NEVER do that ... then don't do it then..no one is going to tell you you should.
you should also show the same respect and not tell someone else not to if that's what they want to do. jmo

^ completely agree. A lot of people really don't know what it's like to have kids anyway....especially later in life. When I had my first I was 21 and lost all the weight in 4 months, now I still have 20lbs. to go after 4 months and I have the feeling that even if I lose them, my tummy is going to look weird after the c-section. I'm seriously considering this even though I'm a little scared because it is a major procedure after all.

Sharijasmine, again I'm really sorry if I offended you in any way. Honestly, it was not intentional. Court, I understand that people may need to get tummy tucks or whatever if they had lost a lot of weight. I guess depending on your age or how much weight you lost, there will be a lot of loose skin that just won't go away. I wasn't saying that all plastic surgery is a waste, I know there are cases where you need to do it.

Very classy statements +1 ^
I here where your coming from RustyLoveJack, as many people want the easy way out and dont want to work for it, not in this case of course, as getting this procedure done is really the only way to remove the extra skin
I am usually the first to give people hell for wanting Lipo instead fo a proper diet and some effort.
Everyone wants instant fixes these days

Don't worry, I wasn't offended in anyway. I totally understand like you and Cutup mentioned below how some people try to go for the easy way out without putting any effort into getting into shape.
I just wanted to mention my experience because like Sharjasmine and other people, we actually put effort into try to minimize our trouble spots. Just like Sharjasmine, I haven't had any luck despite having a good diet and adequate exercise for the last 2 years.
Its just sometimes you talk about it with people sometimes and they jump to conclusions and put in their $0.02 without knowing the situation. It just gets annoying when people assume that you are just making up excuses and make suggestions like "do more situps", "you're probably eating too much", "exercise more".

I totally agree with this, only people would tell me "do more side twists". LOL

I always thought c-sections prevented a lot of things from happening? Isn't that what the celebs do? Why are you ladies saying that "ever since I had a c-section..."? I don't get it!
