i'm thinking of getting one of these (thinking doesn't really mean i have the money though ) hehe
what's the best place to look for one? (less than retail of course?)
the purse forum is probably the best but i don't post there enough to go into their mall ... should i just try looking on ebay?
any owners here where did u get yours from?
also i live in wisconsin so we have NO nordstrom, neimans, saks, anything so i can't really go anywhere looking for sales (LAME!) .. my sister lives in houston near the galleria so she might be able to look somewhere if there's sales
thanks!

i got my baby paddy on sale from nordstrom. i had it charge sent from california. i would keep an eye on the purseforum chloe area to find out when there's some on sales (you're not missing much with the marketplace, most are not really that cheap). but i would also try the ebay route, even real ones aren't that much. i sold my baby paddy for $650 (i paid $1000). have you tried one on? they're very heavy, they actually hurt my arm carrying them for a long time. another thing i must warn you about, the quality is pretty bad. within the first few weeks of using it, threads were coming loose and the hardware chips really easily. i only carried mine for 3 months and it looked wayyyyy worse than any of my several year old balenciagas. personally, i would never buy one again.

I'm sure Chloe would replace the hardware if it chipped, no?

Sara that is very good to know. I have been looking for one, but didn't know the quality was so shoddy.

Not that i wear bags - but isnt the paddington a thing of the past? There are so many high quality replicas out there you cant tell a difference anymore. Plus they are very flashy
its like having one of those bags with the large zipper from Chinatown for $15

The more you buy the better the price! So check it out!

^LOL
Not that I could ever afford one, but that is very interesting to hear about the Chloe'. You'd think they'd be PERFECT.
I hear you about the weight too, I can't wear anything too heavy or I start aching.
So, here's a question...I have been considering selling all of my Coach's (and one Dooney) and buying one purse. What's a style, color, look, that will carry me through say a year or two? I am bad to buy a bunch of purse's and then I end up carrying a $15 Chaps tote for months!!
I know I won't make a huge amount from the Coach I have, but I want to take that money and invest in something "bigger" and good quality.
TIA

Oh, I think she was saying that because there are so many replicas, no one wants to carry the real thing anymore.
I think the same thing is starting to happen with jeans...not the whole fake issue, the sheer number of designers cashing in on the "design on the pocket" idea. It's becoming unoriginal.

^ I think the popularity of monogram handbags and accessories really disproves that.

^LOL Yeah, purses are a whole other monster. Buuuttt...there are fewer designers doing the monogram purse than jean designers decorating pockets.

I would definitely look at Ebay listings. Handbag pricing is WAY down right now, they usually are lower during the Summer and right before X-mas. I would also take advantage of the Live.com 10-25% cash back offers. I've been seeing a lot of Chloe Paddingtons go for less than $1000 (most are $800-900) in colors such as grey, shades of browns, blue, and red.
Have you tried these on in person? If not, I highly recommend that you do. These bags are super heavy!
Good luck!
