I know it's normally difficult to tell in online pics but is the color too different in this belt/shoe combo to work?

unless they are both brown or black, matching your belt to your shoes is typically not a good look. especially when the belt is a large and bold as that one. the matchy-matchy look is awful.

if you're going this far to match them, look for either shoes that aren't glossy or a belt that isn't matte. the colors look similar enough in a lot of light, but in other settings one will look significantly darker

^^After putting the pics together and staring for awhile that's what I was thinking as well.

Thanks for the input. Looks like it's just the shoes for now.
