I guess that's the chance we take when buying them small, so they'll stretch to perfection. Get you some orange thread and sew up; they'll look awesome!

Perhaps I'm just trying to make myself feel better about the bootcut ola dry I just bought. I'm breaking in RRDS right now, but I planned to start wearing the olas soon...

that was before the svenska model i think. because that one is made in swedan.

anways, for the guy with the ripped jeans....if your jeans are not selvage and you wear them tight or low (puts stress on the crotch), they may rip. but it usually won't happen unless it's been worn for months and months. check out mynudies.com in the DRY section. so many ripped ones. but it's ok, it's not too much work or money to repair. it adds character. but that happened to my dry selvage, i would be PISSED.

Yeah no worries. I too try to talk about what I know. I have been looking into Nudies for months. I bought a pair of RR in October I agree that most FGD are made in italy, but that doesn't mean all the other cuts are made there also. If you look at the limited edition Straight Sven DS (the one with the swedish flag) they were not made in Italy but made on the old Swedish shuttle looms. Also, as far as I know, the Veggie Indigo RR are made in Japan too. Either way, not all Nudies are made in Italy and that is a fact

I'm glad I didn't keep my FGs because they were TIGHT and they would have ripped for sure. My RRDS should be here by Monday so after that all my Diesels will collect dust

Sorry about your luck Samm, I too would be pissed if I ripped my 100+ dollar jeans.

You get a butt/crotch rip often? Do you sew it or patch it, or discard the jeans?

My friend's mommq is a tailor...to stop the wear/tear from becoming a rip, she patched my jeans (on the lower but area) with a small piece of denim and sewed it with a matching thread

She's 'fixed' some of my jeans (sewn rips, replaced buttons, etc). I figure since I can't really sell them and I paid so much for them, I can at least fix 'em up or stop them from becoming worse and still wear them around the house or whatever

What would be a reason not to starch other than wanting less contrast?
