Which Somet would you recommend for a Viker-like fit?

^ Thanks bro...
if i remember correctly, you decided to return these. What do you think their potential for fading/breaking in is?
Is there a comparison worth discussing to Dior 21cm?

i returned them because of the rise. on the slims in my size it was really tiny, barely even 8 inches. the denim is really incredible and i hear it produces nice fades. it requires a bit more effort than some other japanese stuff like pbj and skull i think, though. not sure about a comparison to dior since i haven't seen the somet in person. personally i think the best slim fit straights in a nice raw denim are flathead f310, slull 5010xx, and pbj xx-005, 007, and 008...

Those jeans look pretty cheap and boring. Also, what's up with the shoes and no socks?

boring is in the eye of the beholder. i like a dark solid wash with more plain pockets in general. and they are raw, so the point is the wear that they will achieve, not what they look like when new. the shoes are called loafers. very nice loafers i might add. and you may have noticed that this thread is 6 months old so it was the middle of summer when that pic was posted. loafers with socks in july is as silly as wearing your underwear on your head.

You're right, it is in the eye of the beholder. I've just seen quite a few other raw jeans that have much better stitching. Also, if it is silly to wear loafers with these jeans as it is to wear underwear on your head, why would you do such a thing? Do you like being silly jskid?

I tried these on last Sat when I bought the Skulls, I really liked them but they didn't have my size. James you found them to run small? I never tried on Thanaz but I take a 30 in all my Diesel and I would need a 29 in the Somets.BiG didn't have a 29, just 30's and because they are Sanforized I thought they were a little too big. I found the crotch laid a bit funky as well. I chalked it up to the tapering seam on the leg. I LOVE the low rise. It is perfect for my body type.
BTW: I believe BiG next shipment of the Somets in 29 are already spoken for.

are you kidding? The jeans are badass and his Moma loafers are amazing. I've been trying to find a similar loafer for months but haven't found anything quite as nice in terms of style.

They're boring because they're brand-new and dont have any wear yet. Give them time

I sweat so much due to the heat in july that if I didnt wear socks my loafers would look like this very quickly (except in a more loafer-ish form):

aren't you between a 26 and 27 in diesel? unless you are a solid 26 in diesel with room to possibly go to 25 if it existed, there is no way in hell you will fit those.
and clockwork, 26 diors are only sold in japan. the grapist on sufu has connections and got a few pairs of stuff in 26, of which i think kubie got the last pair.

I don't know how to read! Thanks for the sarcasm! I got why he rid himself of these, but I didn't understand the BIG site where it slightly hints that these may be sanforized but may not be, was trying to understand if they really were or were not? Yep, thanks!
