Is there a way to take the zipper off of these completely and just have normal pockets? I think I am going to buy them if there is.

That looks like crap! You can see a big blue blob where the zipper was. Oh well, I guess I won't go after these.

I just really don't like the zipper. I think its ugly.

For those of you who are good at this thing, is there no way to have the zipper taken off and then have the place where the zipper was, faded to match the rest of the denim???

You just gotta find a good tailor.
Or U can find a right size zipper at some fabric store & replace em U're self!

i always heard the x-rotux referenced as tight, but this guy is thin and they look as loose as I wear my zathans...Maybe I will look into the 796 rotux

They are tight as hell, I think the only reason they look loose is that these are about a size and a half too big for him. That guy is seriously lean.
