i actually tried on 29s and 30s. the 29s were super tight in the leg and they warned me that with that wash in the livs, the tighter they are the more they seemed to stretch. some bs excuse about the tension on the denim. so i went with the 30s which were more comfortable to move in. the legs are still plenty tight (i prefer them better after 1 wear as opposed to just after washing) but the waist stretches still after 4 or so wears. it goes back when you wash it, but... so i'd recommend sizing down if you like a tight waist fit constantly. these don't really slip down that much when the waist stretches so i don't mind it.
i don't know if any of that really makes sense so ask me to clarify if you need.

I have the 86Cs and they are a bit big in the waist. And they do stretch out a bit with wear, but not too badly.

jskidder, I don't know if this helps but the waist measurement for my 27s is 14.5inches unstretched (and they are tooooo big for me... I could have them taken in at least an inch or so...). and the waist does stretch out with wear. I've never tried men's diesels, so I don't know how different the sizing is.

i like those slammers, but my store was only carring ass dragons and 8BG. oh well, i like my 8BG's a lot. i think on 8BG is the detailing on the back pocket is more obvious (at least from far away).

i don't see an 89i wash on the diesel website? but i don't think my store had anything except ass dragons and 8BG unless they were trying to hide them from me...

89i has the dragons. its a limited wash, only a handful of stores carry it. the leather insert on it is light blue.
