Apparently you are supporting the idea of such a kind of thread where collectors and Diesel Denim Lovers can easily find all the washes in the cut that have ever been made by Diesel, pics and informations, just on the same pattern than the FARCO THREAD that I recently opened.

So, I propose we go on with the most popular ZATHAN cut!

Zathan is a such popular cut that Diesel who stopped the cut for a time has decided to quickly come back to the production with new washes. Purists would say than nothing will ever be equal to the so famous 772 wash. Future will tell the story...

Whatever, you know that some of the washes are really very rare and it is not easy to get informations on those. There are washes I've never seen since I began to collect Zathans.
That's the aim of this thread:finding any pics, any informations HFmembers would like to get for each of the Zathan washes.

I have to confess that even if my own Zathan collection is - euh, how to say?- quite rich..., I definitively need you to help me into this thread! There are so many Zathan washes !
So, please feel free to post your pics for each of the washes you have and not yet posted on this thread. We also need as much pics of details as possible.

Please find hereunder the list of available Zathan washes that I have tried to compile since I began to collect Zathans. I am sure it is not complete and I need you once more to make it even wider!

List of Zathan washes: UPDATED June 8, 2008: 104!

Page number into the thread where you can find PicsHope this will help!

ZATHAN 713:

Let's begin with the mythic 713 wash!
Everybody knows that this wash is a must have! It's really hard to find and RARE.
I've been told that the reason it is so hard to get is because the distress treatment of this wash brought many durability problems to Diesel. Many of the Zathans 713 have been quickly suffering of important tears which made Diesel to take quantities of 713 off retail. (I'd like to know about your opinion about this legendary topic(?)). It is said that only the production for Asia was almost without problems and that's why there are maybe more "still in life"713 there than anywhere else in the world(?)...

Whatever mine is not in perfect condition and had to be a bit customized! I bought it form an HFmember a while ago and I must confess than even if a big too loose to me, I LOVE it (and I wear it loose! lol!)

This is a great idea birdy. I can only imagine coming back to this thread in a year and seeing pics of every Zathan wash ever. I'll definitely contribute some pics of my collection later.

I know many have have moved on... the point about zathan is they are the most flattering cut ever produced by Diesel. I do have slammer farco thanaz (5), but zathan will always be my fav.

I completely agree, its a very flattering cut if you wear the correct size

The Zathan/Zatinys and the Farcos probably get the most wear out of all my pairs. I just missed out on a pair of 84Rs on ebay( been searching for months) got sniped in the last second by like $1, lame....

For some reason zathans feel the most sturdy, best quality, etc. (like how on 71J each hole is perfectly patched in the back) anyone else agree?

^ Zathan is just a cut, it has nothing to do with quality. The different washes have different quality.

OP NICE THREAD!!! IF only everyone posted pictures and compiled a picture wash guide that would be terrific!!!

also, where does Diesel come up with their wash names. If something is off by one letter or number it's a completely different wash..

There was a pair on eBay last month that sold for $60...and was unhemmed. I missed the auction by like 5 minutes and I couldn't bring myself to bid more than that on this pair. Sucks that you got outbid tho!

Man that sucks. I dont like the scratch mark at the knee, but the rest of the wash is very nice, and its soft denim.

I got a pair of Farco 84Rs from TONNEE and they are way way too tight, but seeing them up close made me appreciate the wash. I also just recently got my 83Ls, and a pair of 84Us, and I had been searching for those for a long time

The rare ZATHAN 631:

This is a soft black wash which was made (to my knowledge) only in Tunisia.
The batch is especially soft, made of 75%Cotton, 25%Linen.
Inside tags are only showing a BT N° as it happens on some old fabrics.

84R is a pretty rare bird, and reqiures the wearer to have no problem looking like a complete asshat. I really like 'em though - in a "Hey it's Saturday morning, and I don't give a shit" sort of way. They'd be almost respectable were it not for the "cat scratch" distress. Wish I could fix that.

Come think, we should probably try to watermark our photos if possible. I guarantee you, some of these pics will end up on ebay.
