Authentic COH jeans can come with rivets that have an initial H on the inside or the words COBRAX ORIGINAL - these are for the newer style jeans. They also may have the word INSTRUCTION mispelled on the underside of the size tag.

Hi, I was just checking the list to see if some jeans I bought on Ebay were authentic and was a little confused. I have the Kelly (I believe North Pacific wash- lighter h on pockets) and the cut is listed as 1263, style #001B-001. "Instruction" is also spelled as "Intruction" on the back of the size label. Are these fake or authentic?? Thanks so much! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Hi. I just joined the forum yesterday, and I feel nervous even posting! As if I'm entering junior high all over again--only at 29. I have spent hours and hours reading posts and reading tips for how to spot fake COH, and I almost feel worse now. I stare at ebay and almost all of them look real to me (but now I'm pretty sure I bought a fake pair of Ingrids. I'm hoping you all will help me achieve jean enlightenment!

I just joined as well and I completely agree with you jean envy. And I think I bought a pair of fake ingrids as well, they just don't fit as nice as my other ones, but everything looked fine to me in the pictures. Grrrr! It's nice to have other people to help us check now...although it's very bad for my jean addiction, and trying to stop buying them! I keep seeing that other people have an addiction too, so I think mine's not so bad! right? I can buy just one more pair, right?!

Just bought some skull and bunny jeans off ebay. I'm told that the fake jeans have only an h on the inside of the front closure button. Is this true? They're cute, but I'm sad to think that they're fake.

Paloma fakes cut # 2098
This isn't on the link's list, but 1Deb143 and Ranma1668 both list the cut number of their Palomas as this number and of their "auth" jeans.
But personally, I think when a seller puts that they have a "certificate/tag of auth." they're selling fakes because it's soo easy to fake.
Can anyone add any fake cut #s to other newer pairs?

I bought a pair of Ingrids off eBay and since they were so cheap I was a bit iffy about them but after comparing with the fakes on Bianca's site I am almost definitely sure they are real.
I would like to add another way to tell whether your CoH are real: Look closely on the silver strip on the smaller yellow size tag. Authentic CoH should have very small writing on the silver strip. I don't have a magnifying glass (that's how small the writing is!) but I think it says CITIZENS OF HUMANITY on it.

Thanks for the input ricefairy. I believe you're right but my camera is not that great so I can't take a picture of the strip with it. If you've got some, please feel free to post them!

That when looking at your citizens...there is a strip on the tag...the first tag [where it shows the size] there is a thin strip that has a authenticity ribbon inside...that is how you can tell if your Citizens are authentic....it has very tiny writting

One question: Is the big white inside tag (with the cut/style numbers) on real COH always made of a silky fabric? Are there real jeans with the canvas feel tags?

I bought Faye #003 cut 1926 a while back, my first pair, but now I'm curious about how to tell if they're real

Brenda, start a thread with pics and we'll let you know. I'm not familiar with Aritzia but usually with COH, we can tell their authenticity based on pictures alone.

Aritzia is a Canadian retail store... They are authentic - at least everything I've seen there has been (coh, 7fam, paige).

Can someone please post a picture of these "authenticity" tags? I looked at the 2 pair of citizens I have and I see the silver strip but I don't see writing? It just looks like how seven tags have the silver strip on the underside of their tags. I am so confused!!!
